Game Today we have a game from the current U.S Chess Championships. Fabiano Caruana gets a nice win over John Burke with an excellent Ruy Lopez. It was a sharp line with 8. Bg5 and then h6 and g5 kicking the white bishop away. This opens up the kingside though and creates holes in black’s position. I found this to be an interesting way of playing the opening and something for me to look into a little more as an option in my games (usually I don’t play Bg5).
