This is yet another blitz game! This game shows a good example of a mating strategy that I find comes up quite frequently known as the smothered mate! The opening is the Sicilian defence although white seems to be playing more of an Italian style opening against it and blunders a few moves early in the opening.

Rapid Game

Second rapid game against CGK. In this game I open with the Albin Counter Gambit and make a few mistakes in the opening and find myself on the backfoot for the majority of the game. In these quick games there is plenty of opportunity to claw your way back and place pressure on your opponent to make the best moves by hurting them on the clock. This is an example where this is the case.

Rapid Game

Heya all! This game is a 15 minute rapid game I played. I really enjoyed playing this opponent and I will post another game we played soon. I am playing white and the opening is the Caro Kann. I am not a huge fan of playing against this opening but found that i didn’t have to many troubles. Whenever I play this opening I always remember a trap that someone showed me at a junior competition that is just a bit of fun and doesn’t hold up in terms of strong development in the opening but it did allow for some grins (in friendly games) when it worked?! I will post it for you later!
