Daily Study Today I continued to work on the Caro-Kann opening. I have been slowly looking over various lines and gathering master games that I can go through to highlight and revise key concepts.

Daily Study Today I played 5 blitz games and annotated two of them. I also annotated a Caro-Kann game played by Yasser Seirawan to help deepen my understanding of the opening. I want to look at more games played by top chess players in order to learn from the best.

Daily Study Today I played a nice Caro-Kann in the Advance variation. I was particularly happy about this game as I followed the “plan” of the opening and made many solid moves. My opponent played really well also and it made for a fun back and forth positional battle. I found a nice tactic (although 1 move late) at the end of the game to gain a winning advantage. After the move was played my opponent resigned.

Game Today I decided to play just one blitz game again. The game is an advance Caro-Kann. I am still learning this opening and ideas and I feel like this game really helped to clarify a few ideas for me.
