Daily Study I spent some time collating master games today to look over. I am hoping to get a better understanding of positions and openings by seeing what the pros do, identifying the types of things that commonly pop up.
Also I have been working on a chess newsletter that I will aim to publish monthly. The first issue can be read online now. Check it out here and subscribe to the newsletter, so that it gets sent straight to your email.

Daily Study I am feeling very accomplished today.
Today marks my 50th consecutive study day!
I also achieved my highest rating in blitz to date.
I decided to play a bit of rapid as I have not done much rapid on chess.com
My rating is still moving a bit (I have only played 20 rapid games) but I managed to get a win over a 1991 rated opponent to increase my chess.com rapid rating to 2011. This is the first time I have had a rating above 2000! (not counting Lichess)
I am still looking to improve my blitz rating. The climb to 2000 continues!

Daily Study I am one day away from fifty consecutive days spent studying chess. I had a nice draw in one of my blitz games today. Here is the game.

Daily Study Today I played and won two blitz games. I continued to work on a chess newsletter. I finally finished watching the U.S. Chess Championships. The playoff was very exciting! Congratulations to Wesley So for winning the tournament and the title.
