Daily Study Today I played four blitz games. I had a nice win against the Scandinavian Defense (game below). I also did a bit of opening preparation as I was interested in looking into a few lines.

Game Today I played a game that I found insightful. I had a move in my head that I thought was good and I didn’t play it to stay “solid”. In doing so I missed out on the opportunity to gain a quick opening advantage.
Blitz Game
In this short blitz game I win against the Scandinavian Defense. One of the drawbacks of this opening is that the black queen can get kicked around. My opponent decided to retreat the queen straight away, but then traded pieces rather than developing which gave me a small edge in the opening.
Blitz Game
Often in blitz games I like to try ideas just to see if they are good / bad. In this game I do just that as early as move 3. Turns out it is just a bad move, but it does help to clarify ideas and chess principles.
